A Euphoria star to lead the Blade Runner 2099 series
Hunter Schafer will play one of the leading roles in the sci-fi series derived from the Ridley Scott saga, coming to Prime Video.
She will form an astonishing duo with Michelle Yeoh. The other star of Euphoria, Hunter Schaferwas chosen to carry the series Blade Runner 2099alongside the Oscar-winning actress Everything Everywhere All at Once.
It's not yet clear who she will play opposite Yeoh, who, according to Variety, will play a character named Olwen, described as “a Replicant near the end of its life“.
Still unknown to the general public, Hunter Schafer exploded playing Jules Vaughn in Euphoria, facing Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. She is starting to make her mark on the big screen, seen in the last Hunger Games at the cinema and soon with Yorgos Lanthimos in Kinds of Kindness.
The plot details of Blade Runner 2099 are still secret. This will be the continuation of Blade Runner 2049, released in 2017. Production officially began in the spring. Silka Luisa is showrunner alongside Ridley Scott, executive producer.
