It’s official: despite the actors’ strike, some actors will still be present on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival. The social movement initiated by Hollywood screenwriters last May, and joined by actors in July, is not yet over. Only, the SAG-AFTRA union authorizes some films to continue their promotion. The reason: they are produced by independent studios, and not affiliated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).
