Adam McKay drops his Netflix film with Robert Pattinson and Amy Adams
The director prefers to focus on a project around the climate emergency.
Average Height, Average Build will not exist, or at least it will not be Adam McKay who will direct it. This political satire, half thriller, half comedy, was to focus on a serial killer, who uses lobbyists to change the laws so that he can kill more easily. The cast included Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr., Forest Whitaker and Danielle Deadwyler. The film was planned on Netflix. But Adam McKay finally decided to give it all up: “ With the climate emergency having greatly accelerated, Adam McKay has decided to talk about the climate in his next film, so he will not direct Average Height, Average Build. »
Before the actors’ strike, McKay had planned to film in Boston in late summer. Average Height, Average Build had difficulty finding a buyer, Apple and several traditional studios having passed their turn, assures the Hollywood Reporter. The subject of the film and its fairly substantial budget would have been in question. Adam McKay’s last feature film was Don’t Look Up: Cosmic Denialon Netflix.
