Adam Sandler becomes the first astronaut from the Czech Republic in this intimate and perched space ode. Sent into space to investigate a mysterious cloud of particles, he will begin to lose his mind, alone in the stars, far from the one he loves. Hallucination or reality? “Six months after the start of his solo research mission to the far reaches of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub, realizes that the married life he left behind will no longer await him when he returns to Earth“, specifies the synopsis. “Desperately seeking to fix things with his wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he receives help from a mysterious creature as old as the world who was hiding in the bowels of his ship: Hanus (voiced by Paul Dano in original version) will support Jakub to figure out what’s wrong before it’s too late”.
By the director of the series Chernobyl, Johan Renck and inspired by the novel “An Astronaut in Bohemia,” the film also stars Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin and Isabella Rossellini. Released March 1 on Netflix.
