Two years after the end of season 3 of Narcos Mexicowho continued the business of the 3 seasons of NarcosNetflix returns to the land of powder with Griselda. This new true story in the merciless world of South American drug traffickers is inspired by the life of Griselda Blanco.

She will be played by the former star of Modern Family, Sofia Vergara.

Who was Griselda Blanco?

She is described by the streamer as an “ambitious and skillful Colombian businesswoman at the origin of one of the most profitable cartels in history. Charm and assumed savagery allowed this devoted mother to emerge from the shadow and to masterfully trace her path between family and business, until she was nicknamed the Godmother.

This first teaser doesn’t show much but announces a release on January 25, 2024 on Netflix
