After the phantom America of Red Rocket, the filmmaker settles in New York for a film about “rich people”….
Two years later Red Rockethis dark comedy about a has-been porn actor forced to return to his Texas hometown, Sean Baker just finished shooting a new feature film titled Anoraas he revealed during a masterclass during the Cinema Jove festival in Valencia this week.

“Anora is the title and no one will be able to remember that name until they see the movie. After seeing it, it will be impossible to forget it.” Sean Baker describes this new film as a mix between a comedy and a drama, shot in a “style“reminding the”1970s cinema.”
A World of Reel reporter describes the film as a “love story‘ which takes place in New York, with only certain scenes filmed in Las Vegas. The main actor would also be of Lithuanian nationality, but his name has not yet been revealed. Sean Baker, for his part, evokes a story around “of rich people.”
