Amazon confirms a Millenium series for Prime Video

The saga of Stieg Larsson will come back to life in a new streaming series.

Here is Lisbeth Salander again. The saga Millennium by Stieg Larsson will come back to life on screen in a new Prime Video series. A television adaptation of the book Men who didn’t like women and its sequels, by American screenwriter Veena Sud, has just been officially ordered and production will begin. Creator of the US remake of The KillingSud will be the showrunner of this Millenniummentioned for the first time in 2020 on the Prime Video side.

We should therefore indeed find the journalist Mikael Blomkvist, in search of the heiress Harriet Vanger, assisted by Lisbeth Salander, the punk hacker. We don’t know who else will be in the cast, or when the series will be released.

Seven books have been published so far in the literary saga, the first three of which were written by Larsson before his death in 2004.

Several of these books have been adapted into films. First in the original (Scandinavian) version, with Michael Nyqvist And Noomi Rapace in leading roles (between 2009 and 2010). David Fincher then did his version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (in 2011), with Daniel Craig And Rooney Mara. Finally, it is Claire Foy who took over the role of Lisbeth Salander in the very forgettable Millennium: What doesn’t kill me (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) by Fede Álvarez (in 2018).
