Angus Cloud died of an accidental overdose
The Euphoria actor died last July at age 25 from a deadly combination of drugs.
On July 31, 2023, Hollywood learns of the actor’s sudden death Angus Cloud at the age of 25. An actor who became famous thanks to his character of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill, a drug dealer with a big heart in the series Euphoriacreated by Sam Levinson.
On Thursday, September 21, the medical examiner released the causes of death: an accidental overdose due to a mixture of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and benzodiazepine. Like Prince, Coolio or Michael K. Williams (The Wire), all disappeared prematurely after consuming fentanyl combined with other drugs.
Alongside young stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi And Sydney SweeneyAngus Cloud contributed through his poignant performance to the immense success of the series, one of the biggest in the HBO catalog. Zendaya who plays Rue, the main character, notably won two Emmy Awards in 2020 and 2022 and a Golden Globe in 2023 for her performance.
The death ofAngus Cloud is sadly ironic since the series strives to communicate the distress of certain adolescents with drug addiction problems. The actor was going through the painful grief of his father’s death and suffered from mental health issues. His family shared this information: “Angus spoke openly about his battle with mental illness and we hope his passing will remind others that they are not alone and do not have to fight alone in silence“.
Euphoria is a drama series in two seasons, broadcast in 2019 and 2022, which tells the difficult life of a group of American adolescents, struggling with drugs, depression and sexual violence.
