Another departure for Marvel’s Thunderbolts, Ayo Edebiri leaves

After the departure of Steven Yeun, forced to leave Thunderbolts for planning stories, it’s the turn ofAyo Edebiri to go away. The star of The Bear leaves the Marvel Studios project for the same reason: production having been delayed following last year’s strikes, his schedule no longer matches the new filming dates.

It is Geraldine Viswanathan who will replace her. The actress has especially been noticed in recent years in the series Miracle Workersalongside Daniel Radcliffe.

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts was initially scheduled for July 26, 2024. The film will finally be released in theaters on July 23, 2025. Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan will star in the cast.
