Ninja Turtles are back ! 9 years after a last adaptation in live action, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello are reborn in an animated film produced by the duo Seth Rogen – Evan Goldberg and directed by Jeff Rowe, one of the thinking heads behind The Mitchells versus the Machiness, surprise hit of summer 2021 on Netflix.

As its title suggests, Ninja Turtles: Teenage Years focuses on the childhood and adolescence of the four turtles. In a new excerpt, the film invites us to observe their childhood, finding themselves infected by a “fluid” mysterious at the time of their birth and later becoming impetuous warriors in contact with the mutant rat Splinter, who acts as a father figure. Paramount also took the opportunity to unveil another featurette which looks back on the creative process of the film, in which we can see Seth Rogen, who says he wanted to create a version “fun” and captivating Ninja Turtles, while director Jeff Rowe explains that he wanted Turtles that “look like teenagers”, allowing Evan Goldberg to bounce with humor on the fact that they were animated by “teenagers”.
