Bass Reeves: new images from the new epic western from Paramount +
David Oyelowo will play a trigger legend in this new Yellowstone spin-off.
The Wild West needs “of a man with a strong pistol shot and a strong spine”. The new trailer for Lawmen: Bass Reeves (below) features the new cowboy from Yellowstone, who will play six shots. The character played by David Oyelowo will be an American Marshal with radical methods, to track down the bandits who sow death in the great American West… A new creation of Taylor Sheridan for on Paramount+.
Spin-off spin-off series 1883, we will follow the man of the law. The series will chronicle his rise from simple slave to law enforcement role as the first black US Marshal west of the Mississippi.“Although he arrested more than 3,000 outlaws during his career, the weight of the sheriff’s badge proved heavy to bear, and throughout his life he had to bear the moral cost and spiritual meaning it meant to his family.”
Lawmen will be an anthology and future seasons will follow other iconic lawmen and outlaws who have made history.
Produced by Taylor Sheridan and by Chad Feehan, showrunner of the series, Lawmen: The Bass Reeves Story stars Lauren E. Banks, Demi Singleton, Forrest Goodluck, Barry Pepper, Donald Sutherland, Shea Whigham, Garrett Hedlund and Dennis Quaid.
