Benedict Cumberbacht announces that he will return in Avengers 5!

The most total vagueness surrounds Avengers 5 since Marvel decided to rethink everything in the wake of Jonathan Majors’ firing and the flop Ant-Man 3. The film no longer even has a designated director, officially. But Benedict Cumberbatch seems to know more than us.

The English actor announced – during a video for Netflix in which he returns to some of his most emblematic roles – his presence in the casting ofAvengers 5. Yes, Doctor Strange will be there, obviously. Hailing Marvel Studios and a collaboration he is clearly excited about, Benedict Cumberbatch concludes:

“I have a pretty good relationship with this production company… I’m looking forward to making the next Avengers next year… It should make a lot of noise!”

Benedict Cumberbatch thus suggests that the filming of‘Avengers 5 will take place in 2025.

The latest news is that Marvel still hopes to keep the release date set for May 1, 2026.
