Following Judith Godrèche’s complaint for rape of a minor, directors are the target of other actresses denouncing their behavior as sexual predators.

After having publicly denounced the control he allegedly exercised over her when she was only 14 years old, Judith Godrèche officially filed a complaint against the director Benoît Jacquotthis week, for “rape of a minor under 15”. A very serious accusation which is followed by other testimonies from actresses who worked under his direction in their youth.

Judith Godreche was revealed by The Disenchanted, by this director, released in cinemas in 1990, a film on which they became a couple, when she was 14 and he was 40. Julia Roy toured three times under the direction of Benoît Jacquot: in Forever, Eva And Last love, between 2016 and 2019. She recounts his insults and his threats to tarnish her reputation if she left him. Questioned by the French newspaper, the director confirms “disputes” And “a kick in the ass”which he says he put “like a child to calm him down.”

Between these two relationships deemed toxic, the director was also in a relationship with Isild le Besco, when she was also very young. Touring six times under her direction between 2000 and 2010, the actress today says she suffered “physical and psychological violence”. He defends himself by saying that she would have “very bad experience” the fact that he did not want to have children with her: he was in a relationship with another actress, Anne Cosigny, the mother of his two sons, when he began his relationship with Isild Le Besco.

At the same time, she details having worked with “four or five weeks” Jacques Doillon during the preparation of a film Directly to the west, released in 2001. “When I refused to sleep with him, he removed me from the project and gave the role to his daughter, she says.
