“Captain Marvel, we need you to save the world!” : the new trailer for The Marvels
New unseen images from the new MCU opus have just been revealed.
This time, no threesome! Unlike previous trailers, the new trailer for The Marvels presents the film as a Captain Marvel 2, focused mainly on Brie Larsonaka Carol Danvers, and less on Teyonah Parris (of WandaVision) And Iman Vellani (of Miss Marvel). The video reveals Nick Fury’s (Samuel L. Jackson) cry for help as the world is in peril. This time, Captain Marvel will have to defeat Dar-Benn, a Kree general (played by Zawe Ashton) who seems to have a vendetta against the Avenger. She claims that Carol took everything from her and intends to take revenge….
The official synopsis states: “Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and took revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unexpected consequences lead Carol to carry the burden of a destabilized universe… When her duty sends her into a strange wormhole, linked to a Kree revolution, her powers intertwine with those of her biggest fan living in the New Jersey: Kamala Khan aka Miss Marvel. But also with those of Carol’s niece, Monica Rambeau, whom she never knew. This unlikely trio must team up and learn to work together to save the universe as The Marvels.”
The cast also includes Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur and Saagar Shaikh.
The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta, who co-wrote the screenplay with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells. Released on November 8 in cinemas.
