César 2024: Christopher Nolan thanks France, the country where we talk about films and authors

Christopher Nolan's next film could be a remake of The Prisoner

At the height of his glory, the filmmaker still hesitated between two options for the sequel.

Not content with being crowned at the Oscars last weekend, Christopher Nolan will also cash a massive check thanks to Oppenheimer. The film's success is expected to net the filmmaker $100 million, according to informed sources (via Variety). An amount which corresponds to his basic fee, to which are added ex post remuneration, a return on the box office and a bonus for his two Oscars!

Now all eyes are on what’s next. What will be the next movie? Christopher Nolan ? What is the one who wrote, directed and produced up to? Oppenheimer ? Two options would be on the table.

First, he could tackle a remake of the cult series The prisoner, based on the 1960s program created by and carried by Patrick McGoohan. Nolan was already on the scene in 2009. But when AMC released his own mini-series that same year The Prisoner in six parts, with Jim Caviezel, Ian McKellen and Ruth Wilson, the filmmaker has decided to give up. He could therefore return there 15 years later.

The other option being studied Christopher Nolan, it's the possibility of writing a new script and embarking on a new large-scale personal project. We do not yet know on what theme.

In any case, Warner Bros. studios. and Universal are on the lookout according to Variety.
