Cillian Murphy would have liked to play in Interstellar

“I love this movie, I find it so moving,” adds the actor currently headlining Oppenheimer.

In total, Cillian Murphy starred in six films Christopher Nolan. The comedian began with a role in Batman Begins (2005), then continued with supporting roles in The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Inception (2010) and Dunkirk (2017), until arriving at the top of the bill ofOppenheimer. However, there remains a project in the filmography of the director in which Cillian Murphy would have liked to participate. When The Independent asked him which one, the actor replied: Interstellar.

“I love this film, I find it so moving. I remember seeing it at the cinema when I had young children. It had a big impact on me, it broke my heart. I love watching Nolan movies that I’m not in, because I don’t have to freak out about the size of my ears or anything.” he explains.

Nevertheless, the comedian is certain that Nolan chose “good people” For Interstellar. As a reminder, the main character, ex-pilot for NASA (Joseph Cooper) is played by Matthew McConaughey. Recruited for a new mission, he will try to locate a new planet beyond the habitable solar system for humans. At his side on the screen, we also find Anne Hathaway (Amelia Brand) Jessica Chastain And Ellen Burstyn (Murphy Cooper), Matt Damon (Dr. Mann), Michael Caine (Professor John Brandet) and Timothée Chalamet (Tom Cooper).

For those who liked Oppenheimer but are not familiar with the universe of Christopher Nolan, Cillian Murphy advises to watch Interstellar, “which explores several scientific and physical themes”. Or, “you could watch Dunkirk, which also takes place during the Second World War”, he adds.

Released in 2014, Interstellar grossed over $773 million at the worldwide box office. Oppenheimer, he has already accumulated 650 million dollars in revenue, and is still to be discovered in theaters.
