Dakota Johnson Reflects on Her Cameo in The Office: ‘It Was the Worst Moment of My Life’

“No one wanted to talk to me,” recalls the Fifty Shades of Gray and Madame Web actress.

Starring in the next Sony/Marvel film Madame Webthe actress Dakota Johnson returned to her appearance in the series The Office on the set of the show Late Night With Seth Meyers. While one might expect happy memories, The Office being one of the most popular shows of all time, Dakota Johnson describes his experience in unflattering terms.

Honestly, it was the worst time of my life. I love this series so much. When they told me: ‘Do you want to be in the finale of the show?’I said to myself : ‘Of course’, remembers the star, thinking I would show up for about half a day. I was there for two weeks and I’m barely in the fucking show.” Indeed, the actress occupies very little screen time, playing the role of a new employee of the company. She only has dialogue in two sequences.

Dakota Johnson describes the strange atmosphere reigning on the set, far removed from what she imagined: “They were sad, and also, there was a strange dynamic that had been going on for 10 years. Some people weren’t talking to each other, and I came in saying: ‘Hahaha, I’m so excited to be here’, and no one wanted to talk to me, no one gave a damn. And I was in the background of all these scenes, faxing things”, she says.

Despite this unpleasant experience, the actress managed to establish herself as a pop icon thanks to the trilogy of films Fifty Shades. Today she makes her debut in the MCU by donning the costume of Madame Web. Integrated into the spiderverse, this superheroine is capable of having visions of the future. She must team up with three other young women with extraordinary destinies to fight a dark threat.

Dakota Johnson will team up with Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor And Isabela Merced to fight a formidable opponent played by our Tahar Rahim national. Madame Web will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2024.
