Daredevil Born Again: Marvel starts from scratch (or almost), screenwriters and directors fired

The new series Daredevil with Charlie Cox, Born Again, will never have lived up to its name so well. THE Hollywood Reporter reveals that Marvel Studios has pressed the reset button: production was paused in mid-June following the writers’ strike, and Marvel finally decided at the end of September to fire head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman, as well as the directors scheduled for the remainder of the season. A little less than half of the 18 episodes had been canned… Obviously enough for the bosses of Marvel Studios, including Kevin Feige, to realize that the series was not working. A creative reboot of Daredevil: Born Again is planned, and the firm is now looking to fill vacant positions. According to information from THROrd and Corman (now relegated to a vague status of “executive producers”), would have transformed Daredevil pure legal series, a far cry from what Netflix has done with the character in the past.

Charlie Cox would also have only started wearing his superhero costume in the fourth episode. Marvel should still keep some scenes and episodes already filmed, but new story elements will be added.

In the last news, Daredevil: Born Again was supposed to be broadcast in 2024, but all these changes should logically cause it to be delayed.
