Daredevil: Born Again, revised and corrected, returns to filming

The Marvel series, planned for 18 episodes, should ultimately only have 13.

Resumption of work on the set of Daredevil: Born Again. This Monday, the Marvel series is relaunching production, after being suspended for more than three months to carry out a total creative overhaul!

A reorganization decided by Disney, which decided to replace showrunners Matt Corman and Chris Ord. It’s Dario Scardapane (The Punisher) who takes over the controls, while the directors of Loki, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, will direct the new episodes. Fewer episodes than expected. The Hollywood Reporter announces that Daredevil: Born Again will no longer have 18 episodes, as initially planned, but only 13!

On the casting side, Deborah Ann Woll And Elden Henson should return to play Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, which was not to be the case in the first version of Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel has reportedly revised its position and decided to reinstate the two sidekicks from the original Netflix series.

Narratively, Matt Corman and Chris Ord had considered a revival of Daredevil in legal drama mode, where the action only took a secondary place and where Matt Murdock did not put on his avenger’s costume until episode 4! Too risky for Disney, which preferred to say stop, stopping the filming of the episodes. Some sequences will still be preserved and integrated into the new version of Daredevil: Born Againwhich should be based on the end of Echowhich suggested that Wilson Fisk was going to run for mayor of New York!

Jon Bernthal (reprising his role as the Punisher) and Sandrine Holt (resuming the role of Vanessa Fisk) should also be in the cast.

Daredevil: Born Again no longer has a release date on Disney Plus and is not expected to arrive until 2025.
