Deadpool & Wolverine: 9 details that shouldn’t be missed in the trailer

The first images of Deadpool 3 contain many clues and easter eggs. We take stock.

It was leaked on set photos, it’s now official. Deadpool & Wolverine will contain a scene with the ruined 20th Century Fox logo. The trailer for Deadpool 3 no shortage of details. For example, we see an unidentified entity capture a VAT agent. Then a masked character identified by many Internet users as Doctor Doom (Doctor Doom in VF), an iconic villain that we know in the cinema through his appearances in Fantastic Four. After the ouster of Jonatha Majors aka Kang, he would make a perfect replacement as a major super villain in the MCU. The nature of its presence in Deadpool & Wolverine remains unclear, and above all to be confirmed. The man seen here is holding a rifle with his hands bare and not covered with metal as is traditionally the case.

Aaron Stanford returns as Pyro

Wolverine won’t be the only X-Men present in the film. As announced, Aaron Stanford will return as Pyro18 years later X-Men: The Last Stand ! We also see him in the trailer, saying “I love that” in the middle of the fight scene. Another X-Men, Sabretooth (Tyler Mane), will also be there, as will Jennifer Garner who will don the Elektra costume 19 years after his solo film. But they are absent from these first images.

A copy of Secret Wars???

We repeat, in Deadpool everything is allowed. So why not slip in a copy of the comic book Secret Wars at the end of the trailer? And not just any one. Number 5 of the series written by Jonathan Hickmanwith Doom on the cover. This ultra cult crossover will inspire the conclusion of phase 6 of the MCU, which must end in 2027 with Avengers: Secret Wars. Here again it could be a simple wink, but the expected success of Deadpool & Wolverine seems to be a good opportunity to introduce this narrative arc to the public.

Wolverine, yes, but which Wolverine?

With the multiverse, we get lost. Wolverine died in Loganand it is not this version that we will find in Deadpool 3. But will it still be the Wolverine of the X-Men saga? Based on a shot where we see him from behind, some fans are already speculating about Patch, an alternate identity of Logan playing spies with an eyepatch (hence his nickname Patch). This version could coexist in the film (played by another actor?) with that of Hugh Jackman who will be a good old Wolverine with the yellow costume from the comics.
