Despite the flop of Expendables 4, Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone are already teaming up again

The two stars are preparing a new action film with director David Ayer (who just filmed the Stath in The Beekeeper).

Jason Statham And Sylvester Stallone don’t plan to part ways anytime soon. Both starring in the fourth installment of the franchise Expendablesthey are already planning their return in 2025 for a joint project with the director David Ayer (Fury, Suicide Squad).

Levon’s Trade will be the title of this next feature film produced by Black Bear & BlockFilm, adapted from a successful novel by Chuck Dixon (best known for his comic book scripts for DC and Marvel). But the best is yet to come: Statham in leading role, Ayer to the realization and Stallone…to the scenario! Sly does not plan to play in Levon’s Trade but to adapt the original novel into a film. This will be his return to the screenplay since Rambo: Last Blood in 2019. Remember that he received an Oscar nomination for his screenplay for the first Rocky in 1977.

Expendables 4 is the “worst” opus of the franchise according to US critics

Levon’s Trade tells the story of Levon Cade, a man with a troubled past who retrained in construction and tries to keep a healthy balance in his life. But when a local girl disappears, he will have to call on his special skills that have made him a true legend in the dark world of special forces. A perfectly calibrated plot for the trio Statham/Ayer/Stallone.

Ayer And Statham are teaming up in their next blockbuster The Beekeeper, a brutal actioner in which the star plays a highly trained agent whose cover is that of a beekeeper. So he kills thugs there by setting them on fire… using honey!

Currently at the cinema, Expend4bles doesn’t work as well as expectedbut that obviously doesn’t stop its stars from teaming up again. The Beekeeper does not yet have a release date in France and Levon’s Trade is not yet filmed, but the team hopes to release it sometime in 2025.
