Did Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom successfully launch in France?

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom directed by James Wan, released on Wednesday December 20, made its debut in the big bath of French cinemas. The latter recorded 67,531 admissions in 663 theaters. Including previews, the feature film is approaching 100,000 admissions.
This surpasses any of DC Comics’ previous productions, The Suicide Squad of James Gunn, which recorded 45,224 tickets with an average of 95 tickets out of its 478 copies on the first day, then just over 700,000 entries in all. However, these figures do not rival the score of the first opus, which signed 150,003 admissions for its release day, before crossing the 3 million cumulative mark.
It is also not a record for its director, therefore, who beyond the superheroic franchise of Warner Bros. (of which Aquaman 2 marks the final opus of the “Snyderverse”before a reboot orchestrated by James Gunn and Peter Safran), had sold more than 350,000 tickets thanks to Fast and Furious 7 in 2015, then more than 4 million at the end of the race.

The aquatic superhero still easily doubles Preserve which is placed in second position (55,967 admissions with previews) with a difference of 37,527 for the first day of screening.
The comedy with Jeff Panacloc completes the top 3, the last film in the ranking above 10,000 entries at the start.
