Director Matt Shakman found his Galactus for Fantastic Four

After Harry Potter and Game of Thrones, Ralph Ineson joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/The Human Torch), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Strom/The Invisible Woman) and Pedro Pascal (Reeds Richards/Mr Fantastic), but also Julia Garner (the Silver Surfer) and Paul Water Houser (whose role we do not yet know), a new star has been added to the cast of the highly anticipated Fantastic Four of Matt Shakman.

Ralph Ineson will lend his features to the supervillain Galactus announces The Hollywood Reporter, which also specifies that filming of this new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will begin this summer in England. The British actor will therefore follow in the footsteps of Josh Brolin (Thanos) and Jonathan Majors (Kang), and especially in those of the cosmic cloud under the guise of which his character had already appeared in Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer in 2007.

“A cosmic evil devourer of worlds, right? I'll see what I can do”laughs the actor while sharing the news of his casting.

Everything we learn from the poster making the Fantastic Four casting official

Created by Stan Lee And Jack Kirby, Galactus is indeed a great villain with humanoid features, and whose main occupation consists of feeding on the vital forces of the planets. A origin story to which we can well imagine Matt Shakman remaining faithful: since the unveiling of the main casting and the first poster, this new Marvel seems to take root in a vintage sixties atmosphere, the era when all these characters were invented.

An impressive legacy which should not, however, cause Ralph Ineson to worry. The fifty-four-year-old actor has played a number of roles in recent years, including appearances in the world of horror: The Vatican Exorcist, The Witch, The Boy: The Curse of Brahms, The Curse: The Origin.

A CV which will soon be completed by the Nosferatu of Robert Eggers and the Frankenstein of Guillermo del Toroand on which also appear Ready Player One, The Jungle Book and The Creator. However, it is on display in the saga Harry Potter that the actor cut his teeth, playing Amycus Carrow, a Death Eater, in the last three parts.

Some will also remember him as Finchy in The Office (UK), Connor Nutley in Peaky BlindersMajor General Nikolai Tarakanov in Chernobylor even Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game Of Thrones. Ralph Ineson will therefore find Pedro Pascal, who also appeared in the flagship HBO series, in Fantastic Fourplanned for 2025.

For the moment, no synopsis or release date has been communicated.
