Disaster for Cannes Police Criminelle: the audience sank in the 2nd week

Less than 2 million faithful returned to see Lucie Lucas and Shy’m on TF1.

The launch of Cannes Criminal Police had already not been famous last week on TF1. Just 3 million curious people to discover the investigations of Lucie Lucas and Shy’m on the French Riviera. With a bonus, a slew of scathing messages on the networks, regretting that the series was filmed in English, with the two actresses dubbing themselves for the VF… Especially since the VO channel was not working.

In short, no planet was aligned and the envisaged catastrophe actually took place: for its second evening, yesterday, Cannes Criminal Police recorded horrible ratings. Finished third behind Love and in the meadow (on M6) and the TV movie Black as Snow (on France 2), Lucie Lucas and Shy’m attracted an average of 1.71 million viewers for episodes 4 and 5 broadcast in prime time. Or 8.9% of the entire public, reports Ozap.

Backed by the figures, this would be the worst audience for a French drama in six years on TF1.

The six episodes of season 1 of Cannes Criminal Police were all broadcast on TF1. For now, the series has not been renewed for a season 2.

The very poor audiences in France will not necessarily be fatal to the ordering of new episodes, since the series is a co-production between the United States, the United Kingdom and France. But it should be noted that it was broadcast this summer on the Anglo-American streaming service Acorn TV, across the Atlantic and across the Channel, in complete discretion. Which isn’t really a good sign either.
