The Prime Video series now has a date.

Exit Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. From now on, Donald Glover And Maya Erskine are the Mr and Mrs Smith. In an 8-episode series format, the two stars of‘Atlanta will reprise the cult roles from the 2005 film, in a new version with a slightly different story.

“Two lonely strangers are hired by a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travel and a dream apartment in Manhattan. The catch? An arranged marriage with new identities as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith” tease the synopsis. “Now married, John and Jane execute a high-risk mission every week while facing a new milestone in their relationship. Their cover story becomes even more complex when they have real feelings for each other. Which is riskier: espionage or marriage?

Paul Dano, John Turturro and Michaela Coel will complete the cast.

The eight episodes of Mr and Mrs Smithcreated by Donald Glover, will be available on February 2, 2024.
