Dune part 1 is released in cinemas: where to see it in IMAX in France?

Three weeks before the release of Dune 2, Warner Bros. has the good idea of putting the first part back in theaters this Wednesday. With 3 million admissions in France and 400 million dollars in revenue worldwide, the film Denis Villeneuve enjoyed great success in theaters, however minimized by the pandemic which still impacted cinemas in 2021. Three years later, many spectators will therefore be able to discover or rediscover the first part of the adventures of Paul Atréides on the big screen.

This release is rather massive (we are talking about more than 270 sessions), and comes in a very favorable context for Dune with low competition. No blockbuster is currently unleashing the crowds. ArgyleMatthew Vaughn’s latest trip, has even fewer entries in France than The Area of Interestthe Holocaust drama by Jonathan Glazer.

As long as to (re)see Dune at the cinema, you might as well do it in IMAX. There are not many rooms equipped with this technology in France (there are 21 screens of this type in the country). But they will all bet on the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s book, visually stunning and supported by a five-star cast: Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Zendaya …
