No, it’s not “Crazy Frog”, but the music of Beverly Hills Cop that Netflix replays for this new opus, 30 years later, doped with nostalgia and Eddie Murphy ! The 62-year-old actor has still not returned his badge and is returning to California for a new deadly investigation. Judging by the first images of this trailer, Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be a huge action comedy that will push the cursors with Axel Foley more freewheeling than ever!
“When the life of his daughter (Taylour Paige) is threatened, he teams up with her, a new recruit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his old comrades Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to take pump up the adrenaline and uncover a conspiracy” announces the synopsis.
Yes, Taggart and Rosewood will also be back as revealed in this trailer, which teases a revival of the legendary car scene. Obviously, they have aged a little, since Judge Reinhold is 65 years old and John Ashton 74 years old. Beverly Hills Cop 4 will also bring back Paul Reiser, in the shoes of Axel Foley’s friend from Detroit, Inspector Jeffrey Friedman, who has obviously managed to move up in rank!
Finally, in the casting, it’s Kevin Bacon who should play the bastards (for a change) and play the badass and bad boy rogue cop.
