Emily Blunt could star in the next Steven Spielberg movie
The English actress, recently nominated for an Oscar for Oppenheimer, would play one of the leading roles in this still very mysterious sci-fi film.

According to Deadline, Emily Blunt is in discussions to star in this sci-fi project which does not yet have a title. Nothing is signed yet, but if she joins the cast, she will hold “one of the two main roles“.
It should be an original UFO story, which would see the filmmaker return to his first love. It should be written by David Koeplong-time collaborator and screenwriter of Jurassic Park (1993) or War of the Worlds (2005).
Universal Pictures has already announced a release date of May 15, 2026.
Note that Steven Spielberg at the same time working on a series with Martin Scorsese, an adaptation of cult films Nerves on edge (1962 and its 1991 remake).
