In March, George Miller revealed in Empire that Furiosa: A Mad Max saga would be “an animal different from Fury Road“. On the cover of the magazine with her acting partner Chris Hemsworth, the young actress Anya Taylor-Joyexplained how much she loved this heroine before her played by Charlize Theron. Asked about their passing of the torch, she replied:
“She was so classy, she was kind enough to let me know that I could go. I felt so lucky reading that script. I felt like I knew this person. I I immediately felt that I had a duty to protect Furiosa and defend her interests.”

We could understand that the two actresses had spoken to each other about the role before filming this prequel to Fury Roadbut Anya Taylor-Joy now reveals Entertainment Weekly that this is not the case: they actually only discussed the role after the end of shooting. A way to avoid being too influenced? In order to find “her” Furiosa? And how had Charlize let him know that she “could go” if they didn't talk to each other? By way of director George Miller, perhaps?
