Gal Gadot confirms a Wonder Woman 3 integrated into James Gunn’s new DC Universe

“We will develop the film together.”

While Warner Bros. has the ambition to fully relaunch its super-heroic franchise under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the former DC heroes are gradually being retired, like Henry Cavill in Superman, soon to be replaced. This will not be the case, a priori, of Gal Gadot.

The Israeli star announces today in a new interview with ComicBook.com, that she should be filming soon Wonder Woman 3. The sequel was first announced in 2021 and is set to be written and directed by Patty Jenkins, before being put on hold shortly thereafter.

But Gal Gadot seems to assure that the film will be made and that it will be linked to the new DC Universe, in collaboration with the new bosses of DC Studios:

“I love playing Wonder Woman. She’s a character near and dear to my heart. From what I’ve heard from James and Peter, we’re going to be developing a Wonder Woman 3 together.”

It remains to be seen to what extent this wonder womanwith all its history, will be able to integrate into the new DC saga, alongside the new Superman and Batman.

We also note that Gal Gadot gives no timetable. We don’t know at all when the release of Wonder Woman 3. The first film in the new DC Universe will be Superman: Legacy in July 2025.
