Garfield parodies current cinema releases for his new film Hero in Spite of Himself

Dune, The Fall Guy, Deadpool & Wolverine… with lasagna sauce? No, Garfield!

His eyes are never bigger than his stomach, and when he leaves the small screen where he has already won over young and old spectators, it is to take over the biggest. The most famous red and slightly (a little bit) round cat in animation is back with his faithful companion Odile to experience adventures that will lead him to leave his little palace life behind. Garfield does not a priori have the courage of another well-known ginger cat at DreamWorks, but if he wants to save his father, Vic, from the clutches of an intrepid kitty, he will have to toughen up and become… a hero Despite him.

To wait, here are promotional posters shared by producer John Cohen who had fun parodying recent cinema releases, even those which were a priori very far from the Garfield universe: Dune, Deadpool & Wolverine, Furiosanew Superman

More recently, after the release of the trailer for Beetlejuice2it is the emblematic character of Tim Burton that this big cat appropriates:

The film will be presented in preview, out of competition, at the Annecy Festival. Original voices include Chris Pratt, Samuel L Jackson and Hannah Waddingham. In France, Garfield will be voiced by the comedian Kyan Khojandi.
