Good Omens: season 3 already ordered?

Neil Gaiman suggests the series will return.

A few weeks after the conclusion of season 2 of Good Omens on Prime Video, the series has still not been officially renewed for a season 3. But this seems almost a done deal, according to Douglas Mackinnon, director and co-showrunner of the first two seasons, who has just revealed on Instagram that he is no longer doing part of the production team! “I am no longer involved in this series”he writes.

In the process, Neil Gaiman, the creator of Good Omensexplain that “Douglas moved on to other projects” but assures that the series is not canceled. Nothing is set in stone yet, but Deadline reports that a renewal for a third and final season “looks good” while the options on the main cast (Michael Sheen And David Tennant) have already been lifted.

In August, Neil Gaiman confided that this season 3 of Good Omens was “planned and thought out and if there wasn’t a strike going on I would write it now“. So the plan has not changed.
