Guy Ritchie remakes The Gentlemen as a series: first photos

No Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam or Colin Farrell. The Gentlementhe 2019 film, has been remade into a TV series for Netflix, by Guy Ritchie himself. The filmmaker himself created, wrote and produced this television adaptation of his own film, of which he directed the first two episodes.

At the casting, we will now follow Theo James. The star of White Lotus 2 and the saga Divergent will play Eddie Horniman, an aristocrat who inherits his family’s estate only to discover that it is home to the largest weed farm in Europe.

In the rest of the cast, we will see Kaya Scodelarioformer star of the Labyrinth franchise, as well as Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Peter Serafinowicz, Vinnie Jones and Giancarlo Esposito. We discover a first glimpse of this little world in these first official photos revealed by the streamer.

“A multitude of unsavory characters from the British underworld will want to participate in Eddie Horniman’s Cannabis operation. Determined to get his family out of this mess, Eddie tries to trap the gangsters at their own game. However, as time goes by As he gets drawn into the world of crime, he begins to get a taste for it.”

Netflix has not yet given a date. Series The Gentlemen will be released in 2024.
