Guy Ritchie will direct the sequel to Ray Donovan!

A new series in London, which will be directed by the director of Snatch, Sherlock Holmes and The Gentlemen.

It’s an association that promises something big: Ray Donovan And Guy Ritchie will team up soon, in a new spin-off series, for Paramount+.

The streamer has just ordered the 10-episode spin-off which will be called The Donovans“loosely based” on the original series carried by Liev Schreiber. Guy Ritchie will be producer and director in this variant that will take place in Great Britain. Irish novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett will write all ten episodes.

No member of the creative team Ray Donovan original is not involved in The Donovans, which will be a different story. She follows eponymous “elite fixers” in London whose client list includes some of the most powerful people in Europe. “The Donovans will see their family's fortune and reputation in jeopardy, strange alliances unfold, and betrayals follow.” teases the synopsis.

“We are going to deliver a series that will deliver thrills, entertainment and a huge adrenaline rush! At the same time, I am totally focused on exploring characters, in their bodies and in their souls, and I am committed to to write stories with deep dramatic impact. We will enter the criminal world, in a way that will show you the deep truths about the way they live and how this will sometimes – inevitably – impact our own livesteases the writer.

No casting announced yet. The Donovans is scheduled for Paramount+ at the end of 2024. Remember that Ray Donovan ran for 7 seasons and ended with a movie on Showtime in 2022.
