Harry Potter Series to be Directed by Succession Director

Mark Mylod has just been announced by HBO to direct several episodes, while Francesca Gardiner will be the writing boss.

They will have the difficult task of succeeding Chris Columbus, David Hayman and David Yates. Francesca Gardiner And Mark Mylod have been officially appointed to lead the series Harry Potterin development for Max, the HBO platform.

Francesca Gardiner has notably written episodes of His Dark Materials And Killing Eve. She will be showrunner and executive producer.

Mark Mylod, he is one of HBO’s most prominent directors. We owe him most of the episodes of Successionbut also some episodes from the last seasons of Game Of Thrones. He is currently directing part of season 2 of The Last of Us. It will stage several episodes of Harry Potter and will also be an executive producer.

According to Warner Bros, the series is designed as “a faithful adaptation of the book series. Rowling will also be executive producer.

“The series will be made up of a new cast which will address a new generation of fans. We will find there the fantastic imagination and the characters that fans of Harry Potter have been loving for over twenty-five years. Each season will reveal Harry Potter and his incredible adventures to new audiences around the world.”
