Has the Animal Kingdom got off to a successful start?

The Animal Kingdomthe new film from Thomas Cailley, announced itself since its discovery in Cannes as a cinematographic object difficult to identify but very promising. In 2021, another film on French politics, Presidentsby Anne Fontaine, attracted 213,699 curious people in the first weekend, then passed 400,000 entries at the end of its run.

The Creator of Gareth Edwardswhich stands out from the rest of the American offering by being a rare original Disney novelty, which is neither a sequel nor a franchise, moves into third place with 146,459 seats sold for a total of 405,638 in the second week of operation .

French productions are in the majority in this top 10, six against four American productions. The Nun 2, Mystery in Venice And Dogman respectively occupy the fourth, fifth and sixth places in the ranking followed by A new start, The Goldman Trial, The little And The Book of Solutions.
