HBO Max will arrive in France in the second half of 2024

Scandinavia and 22 countries will be served first, then it will be the turn of France and Belgium.

Initially planned for 2023, the launch of HBO Max in France had been postponed following the merger of the Warner Bros. groups. Discovery. The new consortium then decided to “rebrand” the streaming platform which is now called Max. At this moment, Warner Bros. Discovery had decided to postpone the extension of its international network. The calendar was vague and vaguely referred to 2024 for France.

What date for Max in France?

We know a little more today. Warner Bros. Discovery will launch its streaming Max in 22 European countries from spring 2024. Gerhard Zeiler, international president of the group and Leah Hopper Rosa, head of WBD streaming for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), made the announcement this Monday at the international television market MIPCOM.

Concretely, Max will first arrive in the Nordic and Iberian countries, as well as the Netherlands and Central and Eastern Europe. So it will be next spring.

For France and Belgium, we will have to wait a little longer. “Later in 2024″ says the Warner Bros. group. Discovery. So in the second half of 2024. This could be as early as the end of summer (according to Variety) or more certainly during the fall of 2024.

In the meantime, the studio’s programs are available via the paid Warner pass on the Amazon platform.
