Game of Thrones: Emilia Clarke “can’t stand sex scenes anymore”

Speaking of a romp “animal and carnal”she goes on to explain that showrunner Ryan Condal ultimately decided to cut her during editing, judging that she “didn’t bring anything more to the public” :

“I think Ryan explained to us that it didn’t offer anything more about the characters. I don’t completely agree with that, but that’s OK. It’s his show, after all.”

During this interview, Olivia Cooke also explains that she was pleasantly surprised to discover that she would have fewer sex scenes than the actresses of Game Of Thrones. Above all, she appreciated the fact that they were always designed to highlight Alicent’s pleasure.

“I thought there would be a lot more nudity, so I was relieved to see that when I was asked to do these kinds of scenes, it would be to show Alicent having fun. It’s incredible, and thanks to This, we don’t have the impression that these scenes are gratuitous. They tell a story, on the contrary.
