Hunted: Kaitlyn Dever faces an alien invasion (trailer)
This science fiction thriller will be available to watch on Disney+.
Hunted is a science fiction thriller film directed by Brian Duffield (the screenwriter of Love and Monsters and the animated series Skull Island) which will join the catalog of Disney+ productions. We follow the character of Brynn Adams (played by Kaitlyn Deverseen notably in the series Dopesick), a creative but lonely young woman who lives as a recluse in the house where she grew up. Her life is turned upside down by the intrusion of aliens into her home that she will have to face for her survival.
“I wanted my film to be seen first and foremost as an intimate character study but for an alien invasion to be added to the plot.“, explains the director. “The end of the world will not be reserved only for those who feel ready to confront it. The idea of a film where the extraterrestrial threat brutally breaks the bubble that our heroine spent years building and cultivating seemed to me to be an original way of telling this story.”
“Each alien invasion film gives us the impression of corresponding to reality because it integrates the notion of the unknown into our daily lives. It’s something we feel deep within us. As our world spirals more and more out of control, perhaps we long to be confronted with something smarter than us, something that can help us get back on the right path.
