“I haven’t been asked to play Batman again”: George Clooney laughs at his cameo in The Flash

The actor played the Dark Knight in the infamous Batman and Robin in 1997.

Every chance he gets, George Clooney makes fun of himself for his performance in Batman and Robin by Joel Schumacher. A running gag which was slowly starting to wear out but this year, the actor made a very notable cameo at the end of The Flash. We saw him arrive in the skin of Bruce Wayne, facing Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) who was taken aback that the Batman of his universe no longer had the features of Ben Affleck. A joke, nothing more, but Hollywood Reporter still asked him if this appearance paved the way for his possible return in the costume. While laughing, Clooney blurted out: “ Yes, of course ! Oddly enough, I haven’t been asked to reprise my role as Batman, I don’t know why.. » Understand therefore that the star has other things to do, in particular the promotion of The Boys in the Boat, his new film as director (which does not yet have a distributor or release date with us). Adapted from the true story of the University of Washington men’s rowing team, which stunned the world by winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The cast includes Joel Edgerton , Callum Turner and Peter Guinness.

Furthermore, James Gunn, now co-boss of DC films, recently tweeted that George Clooney will not “ absolutely not » of the new DC universe that he is creating.
