Inside Out 2 has a little something extra: already 2 million admissions in France!

Pixar’s film has knocked Arthur’s film off the top of the national box office, after 7 weeks of unchallenged domination.

One phenomenon chases another. After the insane success ofA little something extraat the top of the French box office for almost two months, it is the turn of Inside Out 2 to make the countermarks rain down in the theaters. The latest Pixar has just recorded 2 million admissions in just 1 week.

This is simply the sixth historic start for an animated film in France, ahead of Shrek the third (2007) and just behind Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009). It also does better than Dune: second part (1.4 million admissions in March) and A little something extra (1.2 million in May), establishing itself as the best start of the year 2024. It is finally the best start in France since Avatar: The Way of Water in 2022!

A huge success which should allow Vice-Versa 2 to easily beat the first part (4.3 million spectators in 2015) and which already brings down A little something extra from his pedestal. Artus’ film falls to second place in the ranking, but remains as powerful as ever. Almost 500,000 more spectators, in the 8th week, attendance remains spectacular and now totals 7.8 million tickets sold in France, becoming the 30th biggest French success in the history of cinema, at the national box office.

We can note in the rest of the ranking the good performance of Bad Boys 4which is approaching a million. With 170,000 more spectators, 808,000 tickets have been sold here so far.

Finally, Jeff Nichols’ latest film gets off to a smooth start. The Bikeriders accumulates 72,000 admissions for its first week in French cinemas.
