It’s done: Friends has left Netflix to go to Max!

The Warner Bros. series returns home starting today, July 1.

As expected since the launch of Max in France last May, Friends has left Netlix in France. The cult series is no longer available on the streaming platform since Monday, July 1, 2024.

Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and Ross have indeed moved. They can be found starting today on Max, the streaming service of Warner Bros. that owns the rights to Friends and that has been “licensing” the series to Netflix for all these years. But now that Warner Bros. has set up its own platform here, the studio has logically decided to no longer “license” Friends to competitors, but to bring it home. Because despite its 30 years, the sitcom remains a major appeal product for streaming giants, in an increasingly tense sector.

Note that we will also be able to see on Max the reunion show filmed in 2022, which was called Friends: The Reunion.
