Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, reunited for season 2 of Beef?

Multi-awarded event of the TV year 2023, the series Beef (Relentless in VF) is already preparing its season 2. It will be without Ali Wong neither Steven Yeunbut with a new cast and new troubles.

According to Deadline, creator Lee Sung Jin is about to sign a luxury duo: Jake Gyllenhaal And Anne Hathaway. The two stars, united 20 years ago in Brokeback Mountain and who found themselves in 2010 in the romantic comedy Love and other Drugswould not be the only stars of this season 2 of Beef.

Charles Melton (known for playing Reggie in Riverdale) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla by Sofia Coppola and soon in Alien: Romulus) could also embody the continuation of the anthology signed Netflix and A24.

Gyllenhaal, Hathaway, Melton and Spaeny (who has yet to sign) would play feuding couples. Melton and Spaeny would form one couple while Gyllenhaal and Hathaway would form another.

Deadline also reports that the scripts are ready for this season 2 of Beef which should be “limited”. Netflix and A24 are set to get production underway by late summer or fall.
