Jean Dujardin as Zorro: a first image from the filming on the back of Tornado

The actor also reveals the casting of the future France TV series.

While Miguel Bernardeau (Elite) will put on the mask of Don Diego de la Vega in a few weeks, on Prime Video, for the new series Zorro, Jean Dujardin is filming his version!

Celebrating the new year, the actor posted this short video of him riding a horse on the networks. Obviously in rehearsal, but still sporting a thin mustache, Jean Dujardin shows his riding skills, on the back of Tornado (real name Antojo), the famous black coat stallion of Zorro.

Along the way, he reveals new details about the casting. André Dussolier will play Don Alejandro, Diego’s father, while‘Audrey Dana will be Gabriella, Zorro’s wife. The mute Bernardo will be played by the Italian actor Salvatore Ficarra while Gregory Gadebois will be Sergeant Garcia. Finally, Eric Elmosnino will play the big bad Don Emanuel.

Written by Benjamin Charbit and Noé Debré, the series Zorro is expected in 2024 on France Télévisions. It will be a co-production signed by the European Alliance (which brings together France Télévisions, Italian Rai and German ZDF).
