Joaquin Phoenix Becomes Emperor in Epic Napoleon Trailer

In the middle of the desert, on the ice or in the open sea, Ridley Scott has concocted impressive offensive scenes for us.

The first pictures of Napoleon of Ridley Scott are there ! And one thing is certain: the director of Gladiator And Alien promises (again) a great show. Even if it means retracing the life of Napoleon, you might as well go all the way: the trailer reveals a nice overview of the long-awaited battle scenes.

Joaquin Phoenix, who embodies the Emperor of France, reveals himself upright and cold, dressed most of the time in Napoleon’s famous uniform. We see him in particular at the head of impressive offensives in the middle of the desert, on the ice or even in the open sea. We also glimpse his coup d’etat, and his self-coronation of 1804.

This historical biopic traces his entire rise to power, seen in particular through the prism of his relationship with his first wife, Joséphine de Beauharnais, interpreted by vanessa kirby.

In the casting, we also find Tahar RahimLudivine Sagnier, Edouard Philipponnat (The Runner) And Matthew Needham (house of the dragon).

Napoleon will be released in theaters on November 22, 2023. It will then be available on Apple TV+. Here is the trailer:
