Joaquin Phoenix takes water in new image from Joker: Folie à Deux

Todd Phillips celebrates the 4th anniversary of the first part by posting a new photo from the sequel.

Joker 2 is coming to theaters soon and the director Todd Phillips raises fans’ excitement a little more, with this brand new photo of Folie à Deux. On social networks, he reveals this image of Joaquin Phoenix back in the shoes of Arthur Fleck, under umbrellas, while it rains torrentially in Gotham City. Clearly, he’s not a ray of sunshine!

The director posted this photo in homage to his first opus, released exactly four years ago: “It’s October 4th. Thanks for all the messages. Four years ago we had a hell of a trip. Lots of good memories. And there are more to come.”

In Joker: Folie à Deux, Joaquin Phoenix will respond to Lady Gaga who will be Harley Quinn. Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey complete the cast. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 2, 2024 in France.
