Julia Roberts faces the apocalypse in The World After Us: trailer

The creator of Mr Robot arrives on Netflix with a new disaster feature film. Sam Esmail find Julia Roberts – which he had filmed in his other series Homecoming – For The World After Us (Leave the world behind). A story of the collapse of civilization, between cyber-attack and paranoia. Trailer :
In this apocalyptic thriller, “Amanda and her husband Clay rented a luxurious house for a weekend with their children, Archie and Rose“, teases the synopsis. “But their vacation is soon interrupted by the arrival, in the middle of the night, of two strangers, GH his daughter Ruth, who say they are at home and talk about a mysterious cyberattack. Faced with an imminent disaster, which becomes more and more terrifying by the minute, everyone will have to find their place in a world in full shipwreck..”
Adapted from the novel by Rumaan Alam, The World After Us will bring together in the cast Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Myha’la, Farrah Mackenzie, Charlie Evans and Kevin Bacon, around Julia Roberts.
Barack and Michelle Obama produced the film, and the former US President even sent his comments on the script to Sam Esmail to make it more realistic.
The World After Us will be released on December 8 on Netflix.
