Hitmen are all the rage! After Michael Fassbender In The Killerby David Fincher, it’s the turn of Kevin Spacey to demonstrate their skills in Peter Five Eight. The film, directed by Michael Zaiko Hall, tells the story of Peter (Kevin Spacey), a charismatic assassin coming to disrupt the peace of a small mountain town. The actor appears more elegant than his role as a serial killer in Se7en… but remains no less deadly.
He targets Sam (Jet Jandreau) a real estate agent appreciated by her neighbors but hiding a terrible secret. To approach her, Peter will form a bond with Brenda (Rebecca de Mornay), a former colleague of Sam.
This is Kevin Spacey’s first starring role following sexual assault accusations in 2017. The actor was ultimately exonerated and found not guilty in July 2023.
Blood spurts everywhere in the trailer for this very thriller “coenien”. Kevin Spacey seems at ease in his role as a gentleman killer, cold but not without humor.
Peter Five Eight is the third feature film of Michael Zaiko Hallwho has already collaborated with Jet Jandreau on his previous film Hotel Dunsmuir. It does not yet have a release date planned in France.
