Le Petit Blond de la Casbah: Alexandre Arcady in nostalgia mode (trailer)

Now graying, the protagonist recounts his childhood in Algiers.

In The Little Blonde of the Casbah, Alexandre Arcady depicts the life of a filmmaker who returns to the footsteps of his young years in Algiers. Curiously, two events occur at the same moment, the illumination generated by the discovery of cinema and at the same time, the bombing of the city. In fact, the idea behind this return to basics involves the making of a film, where the director resurrects the characters who once gravitated around him. In a heritage project, it is accompanied by his son that he seeks to share his perception of the city, before the French appropriation of the territory.

Between the members of his family, the neighbors next door, the local grocers, the filmmaker rekindles warm memories where “living together” seems to be the key word. At the casting, Pascal Elbe, Françoise Fabien, Michel Boujenah and one Jean Benguigui unrecognizable !

The Little Blonde of the Casbah comes out in theaters on November 15.
