Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are preparing their 7th film together, Les Naufragés du Wager

After Killers of the Flower Moon, the shocking duo continues with a new adaptation of a novel by David Grann.

The Castaways of the Wager just released in France (via Allocinated). A novel that will be adapted for the big screen by Martin Scorsese with his favorite actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The journalist and writer David Grann is already the author of The Lost City of Z (adapted by James Gray in 2016 with Charlie Hunnam) and of Killers of the Flower Moonthe new Scorsese which caused a stir at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released in theaters on October 18, 2023 before being available on Apple TV+.

This new project will mark the seventh collaboration of Scorsese And DiCaprio. The Castaways of the Wager (The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder in VO) tells the story of a British naval crew who is shipwrecked on a desert island in Patagonia in 1740 while in search of treasures hidden on a Spanish pavilion. An intense story of survival, madness and violence that matches both director and actor.

As progressed The Hollywood Reporter last year, Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio should once again partner with Apple Original Films to carry out this project.
